Zooquest: Day 2

Once you have looked at the pictures and read about each of the animals below, you need to choose four animals that you think would be the best ones for the first zoo exhibit. Which ones do you think would be the most interesting for the exhibit? Which would be the most exciting? Which ones would be the hardest to build a safe habitat for? Talk with your team about your choices. Listen to their ideas and see if you can talk them into your way of thinking.

Once you have chosen the four animals, you are ready to start gathering some information about them to help the mayor make his decision about which ones to include in the zoo. Your team needs to print out a chart to help you answer some questions about each of the four animals. Go to the page about each of your animals and gather the information you need to answer the questions.

Raccoon

Opossum

Black bear

Beaver

Porcupine

Cougar

Gray wolf

Bald eagle

Garter snake

Blue heron

Have you answered all of your questions? Then you're ready to go on to
Day 3!
